It's the "untold story" of Helen of Troy's daughter, Hermione. I thought the author's approach was very clever, using the point of view of the daughter of the most beautiful woman of the ancient world. I absolutely loved this story - Meyer has woven a tale of heartache and love surrounding the life of Princess Hermione of Sparta, the daughter of Helen of Troy. The multitude of Greek history and mythology in this story was appropriately intermixed with the tragedy of the Trojan war sparked by Helen and Paris.
